The MFS (Multifunction System) philosophy was developed by Dr. José Durán Von Arx, Professor of Orthodontics at the University of Barcelona. Constituting a new concept in orthodontic diagnosis and treatment, it can be applied both in early and late treatments. It can also be used as a new preventive method in orthodontics.

The different "MFS" devices can be used either alone or in combination. The underlying purpose of "programmed stimulotherapy" is to bring about automated exercises during the night, without requiring any conscious effort from the patient.

"Programmed stimulotherapy" does not replace myofunctional re-education. It is a method used to automate the required muscular exercises and to generate specific functional effects.
