Scientists at DR HEALTHCARE play a key role in every stage of the research and development process, from launching a new research project to registering a new biofunctional product.

This role ensures the production of high quality, effective and safe biofunctional products.

Our team works with the latest cutting-edge technologies in order to determine the disease's underlying mechanisms. This knowledge is then applied in the identification, design and testing of new potentially therapeutic biofunctional products.

The DR HEALTHCARE R+D+I centre, located in Barcelona, is responsible for planning and implementing research and innovation initiatives in two different biofunctional product line:

1.- Biofunctional devices to alleviate diseases or to correct physical disorders
2.- Biofunctional enzyme supplements to balance metabolic disorders causing food intolerance. At present, DR HEALTHCARE is conducting the final phase of a clinical trial with a biofunctional enzyme supplement to prevent food-induced histaminosis.
