Founded in 2007 in Barcelona, Spain, DR Healthcare is a biomedical company specialising in DAO enzyme supplements.
We are dedicated to the research, development and innovation in the production of DAO enzyme, from both animal and plant sources.
DR Healthcare is the only company in Europe with a facility specialised in the production of DAO enzyme and since 2021.
Science and expertise in the DAO enzyme
Founded in Barcelona in 2007, DR Healthcare specialises in the development of food supplements containing the DAO enzyme.
Since our founding, we have focused on researching Diamine Oxidase (DAO) and dietary histamine. This specialised expertise enables us to develop food supplements in in a range of formats and formulations, including both animal-derived and plant-based alternatives designed to suit different preferences.
Researching to develop quality products
Our commitment to research extends beyond understanding the DAO enzyme. We apply our scientific expertise to the development and evaluation of our products, paying close attention to the factors that influence their quality and performance.
We investigate aspects such as enzyme activity, stability, consistency and enzyme protection, with the aim of ensuring that each product maintains the characteristics for which it was developed throughout its shelf life.
Our research focuses on three areas
Understanding DAO and dietary histamine
We study the DAO enzyme and dietary histamine and explore the scientific factors associated with them.
Developing a range of formulations
We research different formats and formulations designed to protect enzyme activity and support its release in the intestine. This work enables us to offer a variety of solutions to suit different preferences.
Supporting product quality and performance
We evaluate the enzyme activity, stability and consistency of our products to verify that they maintain their intended characteristics throughout their shelf life.
Our commitment
Our purpose is to bring the science of DAO into everyday life through food supplements developed with expertise, precision and a commitment to quality.
